As a Regional Sales Manager you will spend your days teaching stakeholders about how our technologies can help Canadian farmers improve their productivity in pursuit of a sustainable and more profitable agriculture. You will be building Ontario operations from the ground up by hiring and mentoring Agronomic Technical Consultants. You will exercise your leadership and persuasion skills on a daily basis as you travel around your assigned Region to provide knowledge and support to the Agronomic Technical Consultants and by building relationships/partnerships with Ag Retailers. If you love working independently and as a team, this job is for you. Regional Sales Managers will work closely with the Product Manager, Commercial Director, Business Unit Manager, and external stakeholders.
Key objectives include:
People Management
-Hire, train, mentor, coach, monitor, and performance manage 6-8 Agronomic Technical Consultants (ATCs) into strong leaders in the territory they serve.
-Oversee Agronomic Technical Consultants initiated field trials, ensuring proper data collection and assist in coordinating seasonal crop tours with growers.
-Support and assist the Business Unit Manager to analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports in order to monitor ATCs performance and plan action items for improvements.
Strategy & Business
-Travel weekly (75%) within assigned Region to support and lead the ATCs to drive sales objectives. You will help build and maintain relationships to generate and increase sales ensuring a strong distribution channel with Ag-Retailers and growers
-Represent our brand at events, internal and external to our business and assist in announcing and deploying campaigns to distributors and key accounts.
-Assisting with management of your Region’s P&L and logistics, identifying growth opportunities.
-Develop and execute on a regional sales plan and goals focused on growing revenue targets with the Agronomic Technical Consultants in your assigned Region.
-Accurately record all visit and call details with Ag Retailers in our CRM daily. Monitor the activity of the Agronomic Technical Consultants, correcting performance delinquencies immediately.
-Lead forecasting initiatives for your region and provide reporting to the Business Unit Manager.
-Prioritize administrative duties while you are on the road supporting ATCs & Ag-Retailers.
-Working with our Canadian and International network of stakeholders to drive innovation, best practices, and a team environment.
Work Environment:
-Work location is flexible, within advertised Region.
-Up to 75% (3.5-4 days a week) travel and overnight travel is required at times.
-We are remote based company, allowing you to conduct administrative work from the comfort of your home. Although we are remote first, we are always able to collaborate and help each other out through different channels.
-Extended hours and weekend availability.
-Indoor and outdoor conditions.
-Ability to purchase business related items to conduct business and expense for weekly reimbursement.
-Driving conditions: summer, winter, spring, and fall.

-Has a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license is required.
-Has at least 4-8 years’ experience in agriculture (i.e. farming and/or agronomy); a CCA designation is a strong asset; has knowledge of Agriculture industry and farming practices within the Region.
-Is proficient in Microsoft 365 suite and client management software (CRM).
