The History of Top-Phos

Before its commercial launch, TIMAC AGRO invested two years in building strong relationships with scientists and agricultural stakeholders. Training events were organized by Dr. García Mina for the Brazilian Agronomic Technical Consultants (ATC’s) prior to the launch.

To introduce TOP-PHOS, TIMAC AGRO created the “TOP-PHOS Expedition”, a program that united researchers, consultants, cooperatives and internal teams. These expeditions included visits to research centers, foundations and field trials under the Agrichallenge program, transforming ATCs into true experts.

After its introduction in Brazil, TOP-PHOS outperformed conventional fertilizers. Initial calibrations were required to adapt to Brazilian soils, but once optimized, the product delivered significant yield improvements and ROI gains. At TIMAC AGRO Brazil, success was measured by reaching 100,000 tons sold, this milestone was achieved in just four years. Eight years later, sales more than doubled.

Today, TOP-PHOS is regarded as a “Porto Seguro” (safe port) by field representatives as it is a trusted solution that inspires confidence among farmers and sales teams alike.
